Brian Teeple - CTO at PowerLabs

Dr. Brian Teeple leads our engineering team, bringing decades of experience at the nexus of federal and industrial tech development. Growing up in Massillon, Ohio, Brian excelled at math but also lettered in football, wrestling and track., He followed these interests to MIT, playing Defensive Back and participating in campus research. Brian stayed in Cambridge to earn his masters and a PhD in Aeronautics & Astronautics, specifically focusing on hypersonic propulsion for his thesis.

His higher level education led him to Draper Labs as a graduate research assistant, followed by nearly a decade at Raytheon, working on missile defense, satellites, and more. From there, Brian went into service for the federal government, where he’d lead major national-security technology programs across several agencies, including stints as the Chief Engineer for the National Reconnaissance Office, Acting Deputy Chief Information Officer for DOD, and finally Chief Technology Officer & Chief Data Officer at DHS.

He came to PowerLabs through his partner, Adrienne, of Delphi Strategies—a key advisor helping us navigate the federal bureaucracy. They live with their two dogs, a Belgian Malinois named Belle and a Greyhound who is a retired racer named AMF’s Won’t Give Up but is now called Flower. Brian guides our product strategy, engineering execution, and the transition from prototype to scalable production, in addition to overall strategic guidance.
